Submission Policy

Effective Date: May 7, 2026
Last Updated: May 7, 2026

This Submission Policy explains how BRICKLINE Motion Pictures handles creative materials, project pitches, scripts, film submissions, casting materials, crew applications, and other materials sent to us.

By submitting any material to BRICKLINE, you agree to this policy.

1. Overview

BRICKLINE Motion Pictures is an independent film studio based in Lincoln, Nebraska. We develop and produce original films, educational filmmaking opportunities, production resources, merchandise, and related media content.

Because we are actively developing film projects, scripts, concepts, characters, stories, educational programs, and creative materials, we must be careful about how outside submissions are handled.

2. Unsolicited Creative Materials

BRICKLINE does not accept unsolicited creative materials unless we specifically request them in writing.

Please do not send us unsolicited:

  • Business concepts

  • Merchandise designs

  • Educational materials

  • Any other creative work you want us to review, develop, produce, purchase, or use

If we have not specifically asked you to send it, it is considered unsolicited.

3. If You Send Unsolicited Materials Anyway

If you send unsolicited materials to BRICKLINE, you understand and agree that:

  • We are not required to review them

  • We are not required to respond

  • We are not required to keep them confidential

  • We are not required to return them

  • We may delete, discard, or ignore them

  • Sending materials does not create a business relationship

  • Sending materials does not create a producer, writer, client, partner, employee, contractor, or collaborator relationship

  • You are not entitled to payment, credit, ownership, compensation, or involvement because you sent us unsolicited material

  • BRICKLINE may already be developing similar ideas independently

  • BRICKLINE may later create, release, or participate in projects that are similar in theme, concept, genre, tone, premise, character type, setting, or story structure

This policy exists to protect both you and BRICKLINE from confusion or future disputes.

4. Similar Ideas

Film ideas are often similar. Multiple people may independently create projects involving similar themes, genres, settings, characters, twists, or concepts.

If BRICKLINE develops or releases a project that appears similar to something you submitted without request, that does not mean your material was used.

By sending unsolicited material, you acknowledge that BRICKLINE may already have projects in development that are similar to your idea.

5. Requested Submissions

Sometimes BRICKLINE may specifically request materials for a clear purpose, such as:

  • Casting submissions

  • Crew applications

  • Workshop applications

  • Student program applications

If we request materials, we may provide separate instructions, forms, deadlines, releases, agreements, or submission terms.

Those specific instructions will apply in addition to this policy.

8. Student, Workshop, and Educational Program Submissions

BRICKLINE may offer educational programs, workshops, production experiences, or learning opportunities connected to filmmaking.

Participation may require separate registration, payment, release forms, safety rules, attendance expectations, and conduct guidelines.

Submitting information for an educational program does not guarantee acceptance or participation.

BRICKLINE may deny, remove, or restrict participation if someone violates program rules, behaves unsafely, disrupts production, fails to follow instructions, or acts in a way that harms the learning environment.

9. Film Submissions for Review or Screening

If BRICKLINE accepts film submissions for review, screening, educational critique, podcast discussion, community events, or similar purposes, those submissions must follow the specific instructions provided at that time.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, submitting a film does not give BRICKLINE ownership of your film.

However, by submitting a film for review, screening, critique, podcast discussion, or promotional consideration, you may grant BRICKLINE permission to view the work and discuss it for the stated purpose of the submission.

Additional permissions may be required before BRICKLINE publicly screens, posts, edits, promotes, or distributes any submitted film.

Most submissions are not confidential.

If you send materials without a confidentiality agreement, you understand that BRICKLINE has no obligation to protect the secrecy of those materials.
